Musee Marmottan Monet
In preparation for a day at Monet’s home in Giverny (which we did not actually accomplish due to rain) we saw the Musee Marmottan Monet in the 16th Arr. No pictures inside and for some reason I slipped up and did not take any of the exterior except for the gorgeous walk from the Metro (La Muette) to the museum through its neighborhood and a wonderful park.
Inside the museum is the art chronology of Monet’s life from boyhood sketches to lily pads. I was awestruck to see the painting in person that gave it’s name to the Impressionist Movement. From my postcard: Impression: Sunrise, 1873
