Wonderful sourdough bread…

In the Marais District there is also a Cuisine de Bar where you can get a tartine (open face sandwich on their bread). The formule is a salad, tartine, water or wine, and coffee and a cookie. A great deal. The small restaurant is in my opinion one of the best architecture spaces we were in. Contrasting textures from concrete to stone to pale stained oak and wonderfully fresh food.

The coffee comes with one of their cookies shaped like a spoon.
The art against the stone wall is a whole lot of folded bread wrappers. ❤❤

One evening on a whim we metroed to the Eiffel Tower district to pick up bread for the next day. Great ceramics on this corner shop.

Also decided we needed a small version of this apple tart…

You can also get your name on a small loaf…

Of course we had to pause in a cafe before returning to our apartment and this little Citroen stopped in front of us. The second picture is so you can see just how small it was.

With the real Eiffel Tower just over our shoulders, here it was in bread.
