Art and a pink monkeyflower in a native plant garden…

No rain today…

Terry took a vacation day today and we were off in the bright sunlight. It felt sooo good. (Can you believe this picture was taken from a moving car? Well, it was.)

One of the great pleasures of this time of year is that we start adding a stop at the California Flora Nursery near Santa Rosa on our day trips to Healdsburg.

Today, we did well with filling up the cart with natives. It is going to rain all weekend, so we can’t get them in the ground yet, but the spirit is willing.

On to lunch at Jimtown Store in Alexander Valley, near Healdsburg.

The best selection of oilcloth anywhere. Get ready for summer, cover your picnic tables!

We made a new friend:

and I played with the iphone all the way home.
