Art and a pink monkeyflower in a native plant garden…

Happy Valentine’s Day

Twenty years ago a four-year-old drew this. Saved in the back of a kitchen drawer until he had long moved out of the house, it resurfaced recently (that’s not really a reflection on my housekeeping because it would be noticed in the periodic cleaning out but then re-saved until it could be appreciated for its true value.) It is now respected for its symbolism of one of those few threads that tied us all together during those dreaded adolescent years. Treasure your threads, and have a lovely day!
